Day-by-day outline

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Haridwar

    Arrival, evening Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri, overnight Haridwar.

  2. Day 2

    Haridwar → Barkot

    Drive via Mussoorie to Barkot, the base for Yamunotri.

  3. Day 3

    Yamunotri darshan

    Drive to Janki Chatti, trek/pony to Yamunotri, return to Barkot.

  4. Day 4

    Barkot → Uttarkashi

    Drive to Uttarkashi, the base for Gangotri.

  5. Day 5

    Gangotri darshan

    Day trip to Gangotri temple, return to Uttarkashi.

  6. Day 6–8

    Kedarnath

    Drive to Guptkashi/Sonprayag, trek (or helicopter) to Kedarnath, darshan, return.

  7. Day 9–11

    Badrinath

    Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath, darshan, Mana village, begin return.

  8. Day 12

    Return Haridwar

    Drive back to Haridwar for onward departure.
